Humans are basically colorblind compared to the mantis shrimp. While we struggle along with just three color-receptive cones, this underwater gladiator is rocking sixteen.

Imagine seeing colors that don't even have names, or spotting light patterns we can't even perceive. Instead of their brains doing the heavy lifting to mix colors, their eyes sort the information instantly, like a built-in high-speed filter.
