Your mouth is currently hosting a tiny, wet dumpster fire. That deep crater where your wisdom tooth used to be is the ultimate trap for rogue bits of steak or stray popcorn kernels.

Once food hits that dark, oxygen-free hole, it’s game over. Anaerobic bacteria move in and start a fermentation party. They literally digest your leftovers and fart out volatile sulfur compounds.
