To kill the loop, you have to write the report. Acknowledge what went wrong and, crucially, decide what you’ll do differently next time. Even a simple plan like "I'll aim for the left post next time" acts as a mental finish line.
Once there’s a clear strategy for the next play, the auditor finally signs off. You’ve turned a haunting replay into a scouting report, and that’s when the brain finally hits 'Save and Close.'

If you succeed by accident, the loop stays ajar. To your brain, 'I don't know why that worked' is just as haunting as a mystery failure.
